III. Catalog Course Description
This course provides students in the Hospitality program an opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom and gain additional skills and knowledge in an occupational setting. Students must complete 135 hours of approved activities at an instructor approved business/organization site.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Students will be able to work at Walt Disney Park in California or Walt Disney World in Florida.
- Communicate professionally with other cast members, guests, supervisors, and CSI faculty representatives through written, oral and quantitative methods.
- Investigate the heritage, culture, and business standards of the company you are working at.
- Demonstrate specific property awareness by investigating the brand and uniqueness of the area.
- Learn the basic understanding of regulatory requirements within specific lines of business.
- Demonstrate understanding of the specific line of business and how it is aligned with the overall objectives for your internship company.
- Increase understanding of specific lines of business by acquiring new knowledge or skills.
- Investigate career and professional development opportunities within the organization you are looking to gain internship experience with.

Throughout the internship, students will
Complete weekly communication with CSI Program Coordinator.
Be punctual and professional at all times--weekly timesheets must be signed by the internship supervisor and the student; which must be turned in weekly.
Review goals and receive feedback from the internship supervisor and college program manager.
Complete a reflective journal discussing what the student has learned and accomplished during the internship.
Final interview with supervisor.
