III. Catalog Course Description
This course is designed to provide HLTH majors with the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in and teach the games of soccer, flag football, softball, and ultimate Frisbee. Students will also demonstrate safety considerations and teaching progressions.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate appropriate safety practices
- Demonstrate effective teaching skills and reflective analysis of teaching a skill/drill sequence in peer teaching situations
- Demonstrate knowledge of rules, terminology and equipment

Required Assignments
1. Weebly Portfolio Entries: students must submit 16 documents to their weebly as their final portfolio for the class. These assignments will be necessary for the capstone class and presentation.
Required Exams
Learning Outcomes Assessment: The above learning outcomes will be assessed using the following measurements.1. Students will develop and teach lessons with adherence to safe teaching and skill progression and will be evaluated by peers and the instructor immediately following each lesson. 2. Students will incorporate rules, terminology and proper equipment into their teaching lesson and be evaluated using a standard rubric. 3. Students will develop a teaching portfolio exhibiting appropriate skill development progressions, activities and organization for skills associated with activity. Furthermore, students teaching skills will be evaluated through peer evaluation and self-analysis of teaching session.
