Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Solve increasingly complex aesthetic problems creatively, using strategies for expressing visual ideas through the painting medium.
- Create a series of personal artworks that demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the painting discipline, and the processes, materials, and techniques associated with it.
- Understand, interpret, and appreciate painting from historical to contemporary and articulate where one fits within this continuum.
- Implement increased self-critiquing skills to create personally meaningful artworks.
