PARA 101 Paramedic 1*

This course is an in-depth study of modules 1-4 of the US DOT National Standard EMT-P Curriculum. Topics include paramedic roles and responsibilities, ethics, medical legal issues, pathophysiology, pharmacology, IV therapy, medication administration, patient assessment, advanced airway management, and trauma care. Prerequisites: ENGL 101, MATH 123, BIOL 227, BIOL 228, acceptance to the paramedic program, and EMT-B certification. Corequisites: PARA 101L and PARA 101C.
