A survey of today's industry-breeds, history, conformation, principles of harnessing and hitching, and management of draft horses. This course also includes showing procedures and training. Laboratory consists of hands-on experience in the handling, harnessing, hitching, driving, and packing of draft horses as well as Dutch oven cooking.
