ENGL 116 Adv Oral Skills in Academic English
This course focuses on further development of academic speaking and listening skills, including note-taking for lectures, oral presentations, participating in and leading classroom discussion, and increasing fluency in speaking. Students' individual difficulties with pronunciation of American English sounds, rhythm, intonation, and fluency of speaking will be addressed. Prerequisites: ENGL 016, placement test score or permission of instructor. Limited to non-native speakers of English.
