EARC 203 Child Development

This course includes basic principles of child growth and development, ages 0-8 years of age, focusing on cognitive and affective development and assessment of children. The course includes techniques of guidance and methods of observing and understanding children's behavior. Students will be asked to observe and interview children and families and to conduct studies using Jean Piaget's work. Student are required to complete and pass a background check. Prerequisite: EARC 105, 107, 109 and one semester of practicum and seminar.
