DANC 230 Modern Dance 2*
This course is a study of continued development in technical skills, movement progressions, history, and basic elements of artistic expression (space, shape, time, energy) in contemporary modern dance. Students will explore rhythmic perception and spatial awareness with emphasis on aesthetic and expressive qualities using modern dance techniques, guided movement improvisational exercises, and the re-staging of a historical dance work. Prerequisite: DANC 130 or instructor permission. This course may be repated once for credit.
