MAT-113 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I
Intended for prospective elementary or middle school teachers. Topics include problem solving, set theory, whole number operations, number theory, and integer operations. The emphasis is on Instructional Shifts for Common Core Mathematics taught in the elementary school classroom, using a variety of teaching techniques, methods, and hands-on materials including manipulatives and technology.
Prerequisite
MAT-102 must be completed prior to taking this course; or attain appropriate standardized test score according to the Math Placement Guide.
