IND-332 London: Art/History/Literature
A multidisciplinary study of London viewed through the lenses of history, literature, and art. Exploring the evolution of London as a built environment, destination for immigrants, and inspiration for writers and artists, this course immerses students in the complexities of creating and experiencing London from the eighteenth century to today. Students will not only gain an understanding of London as the site of fascinating dynamics between natural environment, social communities, political currents, and individual aspiration, they will also develop skills for understanding and interpreting places through their own personal travel. This course is also a prerequisite for the off-campus study course IND-333. Prerequisite: FYS-101, FYS-110, or IND-301
