FRE-333 French and Francophone Literature

This course prepares students for advanced literary and cultural analysis through the examination of French and Francophone texts in a variety of genres. Students will learn textual analysis, literary and historical context, and practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French. The course reviews grammar and vocabulary, secondary research skills, and literary and historical context; writing assignments emphasize American and French styles of analyzing and critiquing literary texts. Prerequisites: FRE-301 and FRE-302
