TRiO Student Support Services

Funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education, TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a college retention and completion program that focuses on academic, personal and career support for students who are determined to graduate and/or transfer and succeed in their college careers.

The program is designed to provide academic development opportunities to students while motivating them to successfully complete a post-secondary education.

TRIO-SSS services include academic tutoring, specialized academic advising, educational planning, workshops, seminars on a variety of life topics, study skills and organization, counseling, and financial aid services that include assistance with financial planning, money management, debt reduction and financial literacy.

In addition, participants are offered opportunities to participate in college transfer tours, career/industry tours and other cultural enrichment activities.

Students are eligible to apply for TRIO-SSS if they are a first-generation college student, currently receiving the Federal Pell Grant, or have a documented disability. Interested students should contact TRIO Student Support Services at TRIO-SSS@clevelandcc.edu.
