The Associate in General Education - Medical Assisting Applicant (AGE) is designed for students who wish to begin their study toward a career in Medical Assisting. This degree is designed to allow exploration within the discipline of Medical Assisting while working toward acceptance in the competitive admission program. Many of the courses are equivalent to college transfer courses; however, the program is not principally designed for college transfer.
Admission to the Medical Assisting program is competitive. Students completing the Associate in General Education - Medical Assisting Applicant program are not guaranteed admission into the Medical Assisting program. Students completing the Associate in General Education - Medical Assistant Applicant program will be awarded the Associate in General Education degree.
