Competitive Basic Law Enforcement Training
Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) is designed to teach students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments, or with a private enterprise. Admission to Basic Law Enforcement Training is competitive among qualified applicants according to established criteria. There is a limited application period and admissions evaluation criteria are revised and updated annually. All applications for the BLET program must be updated each semester. The student is responsible for making sure requirements have been met and that all materials have been received by the BLET Coordinator before the program deadline.
Selection Criteria: An admissions rubric will be used to determine acceptance to Basic Law Enforcement Training.
CCC has established admissions and selection procedures to ensure students are admitted and selected in a consistent and equitable manner. The admissions rubric is only intended to provide students with a checklist assisting in identifying program eligibility requirements, while outlining the admissions process. Completion of these requirements will not guarantee admission to the program.
