AM7124 Acupuncture Classics in Pain
In this course students read sections of acupuncture classics and apply the classical information to treatment of pain in patients. Text selections come from the Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen, Huang Di Nei Jing Ling Shu, Zhen Jiu Zi Sheng Jing (The Classic of Supporting Life with Acupuncture and Moxibustion) and Zhen Jiu Da Cheng (The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) and other sources. Students become familiar with pain terminology and conditions described in the selected texts, reaching back in history to provide depth and nuance to their practices.
