HHP-314 Research Methods in Human Performance and Health Sciences

What is research? How is it done? and What does it mean?  In this class, students will learn about the basic types of research in areas around human health and performance.  Students will develop the skills to read and interpret primary research, with an emphasis on explaining primary scientific research studies in lay language through written and oral work.  Students will apply their knowledge of statistics as it relates to scientific literature in health and human performance. Students are given the opportunity to explore scientific literature that relates to their own interest. Students will also be prepared to perform, analyze and present a research study of their own.
