Associated Student Body (ASB)
(661) 763-7887
The student body at Taft College is organized as the Associated Student Body (ASB) of Taft College. This student organization is managed by an Executive Board composed of officers elected by ASB members plus a number of students holding appointed positions.
The ASB Activities Coordinator in cooperation with the ASB Executive Boardl and the Coordinator of Student Life/ASB Advisor develops a calendar of social affairs and other student activities each semester.
Student activities at the college include student government, organized athletics, drama, publications, music, social and cultural affairs, and a number of clubs within the ASB organization. Every student is encouraged to join one or more of these activities and take an active interest in the functions of the Associated Student Body committee.
Other campus clubs must complete an Associated Student Body Activity Request form and have it approved by the ASB Executive Board, the Coordinator of Student Life/ASB Advisor, and the Dean of Student Success prior to conducting an activity, event, or fundraiser.
Anyone who is interested in creating a new club on campus can contact the Coordinator of Student Life/ASB Advisor for more information.
