CHEM 341 Advanced Analytical Chemistry

Examines the theory and practice of selected instrumental methods in analytical chemistry. Covers digital methods in the laboratory with emphasis on data acquisition and the use of computers for extracting information from noisy data. The instrumental methods include mass spectrometry, gas phase and HPLC chromatography, and UV-VIS, IR, AA and fluorescence spectroscopy.. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week.
