MAT130 Precalculus for Business/Social/Life Sciences
This course provides comprehensive knowledge of algebra with an emphasis on graphing to visualize and solve real life application problems in the field of business, social and life sciences, using active learning, critical thinking, and strategies for student success. Topics include linear and quadratic modeling, solutions of linear and quadratic equations, piecewise defined and power functions, translation, and reflection of graphs; analysis of functions; inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions; polynomial and rational functions; systems of equations. The TI-83, TI-83 Plus, or TI-84 Plus graphing calculator is required.

RWR090 Reading Writing and Reasoning Minimum Grade of: C or
ENG101 or higher Minimum Grade of: C or a reading required placement and Math Placement.
Corequisite
REA021 College Reading must be taken concurrently if college reading required placement
