LIT200 Introduction to Literary Studies

A course to introduce literary studies through various methods of critical analysis. Students develop interpretative skills on form, content, and aesthetics by close-reading texts drawn from different historical periods and a variety of genres – fiction, poetry, drama and film. Assignments include short papers on primary and critical sources and longer analytical papers to demonstrate effective writing and research.
