DAS101 Dental Assisting I

This course presents the fundamental principles and skills of the chair-side dental assistant working primarily in a general dentistry setting. The course introduces the dental assisting process for managing medical/dental emergencies, maintaining infection control and performing four handed dentistry techniques including an overview of the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. The course integrates both laboratory and classroom components to provide students with theory and application to actual clinical experience.
