FLP 576 Foundations of Insider Threat
This course provides context and understanding of the insider threat discipline (e.g., espionage, workplace violence, sabotage) and insider risk management concepts. Students’ understanding and application of a variety of behavioral analysis topics such as abnormal psychology, human cognition, counseling, and social psychology will be leveraged in comprehending the multidisciplinary approach to deterring, detecting, and mitigating insider threats. Sub-topics include government policy, privacy and civil liberties, cyber as both a threat vector and detection mechanism, kinetic violence, the application of critical thinking and analysis, and risk analysis and threat assessment.
