ACCT 3700 ACCOUNTING FOR SUSTAINABILITY

This course explores the dynamic field of sustainability accounting designed for forward-thinking professionals in various organizational settings (e.g. companies, non-profit organizations, and government organizations). By looking into the history and significance of sustainability accounting, students gain understanding of its pivotal role in corporate decision-making and stakeholder engagement, and master sustainability reporting, ethical considerations, and the impact of emerging technologies like AI and blockchain. This course blends theory and practice, to prepare students to effectively integrate sustainability into accounting practices and contribute to a more sustainable future.
