PAS 5100 PA PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ONE
This introductory course will orient the student to the role of the physician assistant (PA) student and clinically practicing PA and is the first course in a series designed to address the professional, ethical, social, and practical aspects of PA practice. The course series is designed to instruct the physician assistant student to effectively transition to clinical practice. This course will focus on the history and development of the profession and current trends in PA practice and healthcare in general. Concepts of professionalism including academic and clinical integrity, ethics, responsibility, team-based care and appropriate conduct will be introduced.
