SPED 2200 THE MULTICULTURAL LEARNER IN DIVERSE SETTINGS
This course addresses issues of race, class, and gender inequality and emphasizes inquiry about children, classrooms, school structures, the American Public School System, and planning curriculum and instruction that centers the multicultural learner with a disability. This course prepares preservice teachers to be critical pedagogists, culturally relevant/sustaining, antiracist, abolitionist, and/or social-justice-oriented educators when teaching children with disabilities.
