ENV 2000 EVOLUTION AND DIVERSITY

A consideration of the principles and methodologies of evolutionary thought, and a reconstruction of the history of life. Through an understanding of micro-and macroevolutionary mechanisms, students will analyze the diversification of earth's biota and the influence of current ecological conditions on possible future trajectories. Labs emphasize comparative biology through morphological and computer-based phylogenetic analyses.
