The minor in Asian Studies at Kean University is an 18-credit interdisciplinary program that can be taken in conjunction with any major academic curriculum. The program cultivates knowledge of Asian culture, worldview, history, economics, and politics. Asian Studies minors develop the skills and dispositions needed for global cooperation in the diversity of the Asian world, making them attractive to employers. Graduates with an Asian Studies background could succeed in discipline-related careers in education, government, journalism, public service, and in nonprofit organizations; or they can go on to pursue post baccalaureate degrees.
