CHEM 5520 FT-NMR SPECTORSCOPY
An introduction to the theory and applications of modern, multinuclear, FT-NMR spectrometry. Theoretical topics include the basis of chemical shift, spin relaxation, nuclear coupling, and the Nuclear Overhauser Effect. In addition, the principles of pulse sequence design and applications. Students will also have opportunities to conduct actual NMR experiments, including molecular structure elucidation of small molecules and proteins using one- and multidimensional-dimensional spectra.
Prerequisite
CHEM*2582 and CHEM*3382
