MUS 4301 CLINICAL PRACTICE: MUSIC

Students will teach for a fifteen week period in secondary school under the direction of a university supervisor and cooperating teacher. The experience will include work with typical students, gifted and talented students, special education classes, mainstreaming, and ethnically diverse groups. Attend the Music education co-requisite capstone course on-campus 1 evening per week. Students are required to supplement fee of $300 for the edTPA assessment. TYPE OF COURSE: Required of all students desiring to obtain Music K-12 New Jersey Certification PREREQUISITE: Completion of 95 semester hours of course work which must include the following: Music Education major curriculum and EDUC*3000, EDUC*3401, EMSE*3903, ID*2955; or permission of the instructor COREQUISITE: MUS*4000 Revised as of Dec 15 2017
