FA 2900 FIELD EXPERIENCES IN MULTICULTURAL ART AND ART EDUCATION SETTINGS

Course designed for artists and art educators. Students visit multicultural settings in which art educates, informs, and contributes to individual and societal growth. Artists investigate museums, galleries, studios, art schools, art resources, and community initiatives. Art educators spend fifty hours observing urban and suburban school settings inclusive of special needs learners. Contextual factors are examined as relevant to the edTPA or currently mandated assessment tool. Course requires journals, written papers, and presentations. Permission required. Required for BA in Fine Arts Teacher Certification Prerequisite(s): Permission of Instructor
