CHEM 1083 CHEMISTRY I

A thorough discussion of the fundamental principles of general and inorganic chemistry such as atomic structure, ionic and covalent bonding, chemical calculation, thermodynamics and gases. Mathematical relationships and problem solving are stressed. It is essential that the student have competence in elementary algebra. (3 hr. lec./3 hr. lab./1 hr. rec.) Satisfies GE disciplinary/interdisciplinary requirement in chemistry.
