ACCT 4806 ACCOUNTING COOPERATIVE EDUCATION

This course is intended to give college credit to the accounting major student to attain real-world practical accounting and/or tax preparation experience which will complement the course work. There are no formal classes. The student will be granted permission to register for the course, upon the submission of a letter from the work supervisor which describes the work assignment and the number of hours per week worked. The letter will be submitted to the Accouting Co-op Coordinator who will determine whether permission to register will be granted. The decision will be based upon the description of the work assignment which should provide the student with real-world accounting experience in the practical application of accounting procedures and principles and/or corporate and individual tax preparation. 40 Hours/Week APPROVAL REQUIRED: Subject to Approval by Accounting Co-op Coordinator PREREQUISITE: Junior and Senior Accounting Majors status
