CHIN 1102 BASIC CHINESE II
Introduction to Mandarin, focusing on the nature between the national language and Chinese culture. Emphasis on developing grammatical competence and communicative skills: listening, speaking, read- ing, and writing. Lab required. Six credits must be completed successfully to fulfill the General Education Disciplinary Requirement of three credit hours. Prerequisite(s): 0-2 yrs high school Chinese equivalent, Basis Chinese 1101, or permission of instructor. Not open to native speakers of Mandarin.
