ACCT 5240 ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Examines the principles and components governing the design, development, implementation, operation and audit of accounting information systems within the organization. Topics include an introduction to hardware and software components of accounting information systems, security and control of accounting information systems, and the systems development life cycle. Emphasis is placed on the description of the revenue, expenditures, resource management and product conversion applications. Pre-Req: ACCT 5002 or permission of instructor
