The Gerontology minor provides a strong foundation for students to learn and address the physical, social, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs of the rapidly growing older adult population from an interdisciplinary perspective.  Students will be able to apply this specialized knowledge and expertise in the field of aging to their major discipline of study and thus increase their employment opportunities. It will provide opportunities to enhance skills in communication and increase understanding of the interdisciplinary approaches in various settings. Students will acquire the skills necessary to help transform the quality of life of alder adults.
