WELD 285 Cooperative Education
Cooperative education allows the student to apply learning to real-life career possibilities. Students will be matched to job sites based on career interests, skill levels, and the environment of the site for learning. Written learning objectives agreed upon by the student, the department, and the employer will be the bases for evaluating, grading, and granting of credit hours.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Safe procedures for a welding environment
- How to maintain a healthy environment and working relationship with others
- How to use the American Welding Society Code book
- The proper attitude, appearance, and certain demands needed to comply with the industry and company policy
- How to contact the industry in their field of choice and complete an interview with employer, so the student will be able to understand the demands of the industry
