AUTB 285 Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education allows the student to apply learning to real-life career possibilities at new vehicle dealerships or approved Independent Collision Repair facilities. Written learning objectives agreed upon by the student, the instructor, and the dealership, or the Independent Collision Repair facility will be the basis for evaluation, grading, and the granting of credits. Other jobs in the automotive field may be considered for partial credit but not for the full 9 credits needed to substitute AUTB 285 for the AAS degree.

  • Successfully complete assigned tasks to the satisfaction of supervisor/mentor
  • Complete clock hours per credit of on-the-job work experience at an approved cooperative education work site

  • Receive a positive student evaluation from cooperative education supervisor/mentor
  • Follow all employer policies/procedures and safety/environmental requirements
