HACT 219 Wellness Through Yoga
This wellness course introduces students to all seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social environmental, and financial) and allows students to practice making changes in at least one dimension by establishing, practicing and reflecting on individualized SMART goals related to Yoga. By taking this course, students will learn and practice the ABC's of Yoga: Awareness and proficiency of basic Yoga postures and personal alignment, Breath for enhancing personal energy levels or calming oneself and Concentration on the body/mind by incorporating beginning techniques for visualization and relaxation. This course meets the general education requirement for wellness.
