TR6122 Contemporary Nutrition: Community and Culture

This is the second class in a three-course series that examines public health, community nutrition and health care systems. Students begin to assess the needs of a community, outlining the background to a public health grant that is completed in TR6133. Students explore publicly funded nutrition programs, comparing and contrasting effective community nutrition education in affecting dietary behavioral change and critically evaluating effective interventions in communities with different cultural backgrounds. (Hybrid/on-line course delivery for MSN/DPD only)

TR6111 and admission into any MSN program; students are required to maintain the same section cohorts for TR6122 and TR6133 as group projects begun in this course continue into TR6133
