MEA0005 Introduction to Medical Assisting
This course covers the history of medicine, the medical assisting profession, the duties of a medical assistant, the characteristics of a medical assistant and members of the health care team, insurance, credits, collection methods and correct coding procedures for billing purposes will be covered. Students will also be prepared to seek employment in the field and be given guidelines for resume‚ writing, cover letters and follow-up letters for interview purposes.
