Special Populations Services
The Special Populations Coordinator provides supportive assistance to: individuals with disabilities; single parents, including single pregnant women; individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including low-income youth and adults; individuals preparing for nontraditional programs of study (students in programs that are nontraditional for their gender); out of workforce individuals; homeless individuals; youth who are in, or have aged out of, the foster care system; youth with a parent who is a member of the armed forces and is on active duty; and individuals with other barriers to education achievement, including individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) due to having a language other than English as their first language. Information and advice regarding use of available school and community resources may help these students overcome barriers to the successful completion of their education and career goals.
