SFMA 1211 SPORTS NUTRITION
This course is designed to provide an instruction to the characteristics of essential dietary nutrients and their respective roles in the body. Emphasis is placed on the special dietary requirements of athletes, the importance of pre- and post-event nutrition, potential problems encountered by athletes, and ergogenic foods and drugs. The personal trainers scope of practice as it relates to providing nutritional information is also discussed.
