HSC 425 Healthcare Data Storytelling
In this course, you will develop skills to effectively tell stories with data using an array of visual techniques. Healthcare is a data-rich environment but building insights out of raw data can be challenging. Health systems need to understand whether their processes are working effectively and whether patients are having good outcomes from the care they receive. Topics that will be covered include Healthcare data sources, systems interoperability, artificial intelligence, data structuring, visualization techniques, effective storytelling, and data pitfalls. Through the course, you will build elements such as selecting structured data sets, building charts, designing graphs, and creating other visuals that will be combined into a final presentation demonstrating your data storytelling expertise.
