BIO 454 Forensic Biology (with Lab)

Students will analyze forensic DNA typing, assessing STR (short tandem repeat) methodologies and forensic genetics. Topics include applying techniques in DNA extraction, quantitation, and amplification. Students will evaluate the statistical interpretation of forensic DNA evidence and construct DNA profiles using laboratory-based methods.
