ANI 487 Animation and 3D Senior Project
This course provides senior-year students with a unique opportunity to complete a polished portfolio piece in their field of specialization prior to graduation. Early in the semester, students will collaborate with their instructor to define a realistic and impactful project that aligns with their primary areas of competency, whether in 2D or 3D animation. Together, they will establish a clear project timeline and set specific milestones. Students will then participate in a structured yet flexible workshop phase, during which they will develop a comprehensive pre-production plan, ensuring their project is well-organized and meets industry standards. Throughout the semester, students will work independently to execute their animation project, incorporating feedback and refining their work according to the established timeline and goals.
By the end of the course, students will present a fully realized animation project using industry-leading software. This project will demonstrate their technical and creative growth and add a standout piece to their professional portfolio.
