RNBSN 287 Community Health

This course provides an overview of the theoretical concepts related to community health care. Focus is on developing the nursing skills needed to prevent illness, reduce risk and promote the health of communities and populations, including culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. Integration of principles related to epidemiology in disease control and prevention will be addressed. Emphasis will be placed on utilization of the nursing process at the community level to plan and deliver care to communities and populations.
