PHYS 350 Independent Study

Offers a clear understanding of and experience with particular instruments or techniques (such as high-vacuum systems, thin-film deposition, spin coating, photolithography, self-assembly, and micro patterning) used in the preparation of thin films or selectively activated surfaces. Emphasizes the influence of processing conditions on material properties. Work with faculty on ongoing research projects and present results in a paper or an oral presentation to physics and chemistry faculty.
