AST 274 Literature of the Jazz Age

Focuses on the literature, music, and culture that emerged after WWI in Harlem. Examines the period's atmosphere of creativity and experimentation through the works of both major "white" writers like Hemingway, Faulkner, Fitzgerald, and Eliot, and major African-American writers like Hughes, Hurston, Larsen, Du Bois, and Toomer.
