SWO 652 Introduction to Multivariable Statistics

This course reviews and expands on the methods introduced in SW651 to the realm of multivariate
statistical methods. Multivariate statistics provide a means to analyze simultaneously data with multiple
independent and/or dependent variables (i.e., variants). This course will primarily focus on regression
analysis as a statistical approach to do that. Topics covered include working with different types of
variables, mediating and moderating and interaction effects, non-linear relationships, and other related
content. Students will use SPSS, learn to work with secondary data, write up data analysis plans and
statistical analysis results, and prepare research findings for professional dissemination.
