SPND 499 Seminar/Autism II

This course is part of the Autism Specialization Program. This course content is based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Candidate Assessment of Performance. The seminar continues to support students’ experiences in their practicum and inclusion placements. Students will learn and demonstrate understanding on how to use and incorporate the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks into teaching well-structured lessons for students with autism. Through whole and small group class discussions and article reviews students will continue to incorporate the seven essential elements from the Candidate Assessment of Performance into all their coursework and teaching. Students will also gain information on future teaching and professional opportunities, gaining valuable insight from other educators. This course includes the final modules to meet the assistive technology state requirements.
